Re: Putting 6x9 speakers behind the seat

I made triangular boxes out of thin MDF and painted them black. I installed regular round speakers (4"?) but you could put larger speakers in them also - just cut the face plate to the size of your speaker. I then built a triangular storage box out of oak plywood for miscellaneous stuff and a cushioned place to transport a 4' level without it getting beat up. I will post pics if you want. It worked out well for me.

Re: Putting 6x9 speakers behind the seat

i bought 6x9 boxes then cut them thinner to fit. Worked well this way because i was able to get the speaker outside the seat(firing past) instead of muffled behind the seat. i will take a picture, worked better than i originally intended.

Pics would be great Bojak as I'm getting ready to tackle this mod on my truck as well.... It's a 66 but I'm looking for ideas and I believe the rear area is similar.
