How much for the driver's fender? Are the buddy buckets for sale? Any idea on shipping costs to AZ?

Re: Parting out 67 LWB AC Cab

6768chevy: i would like to keep it rolling for now, but i put you first in line for it.

mahanian : i'd take 25 plus the ride.if your interested. The seats are already gone. I'll look into shipping, still unsure about how to ship this big parts. This woudl be the first. FEDex seems cheep if you have a business addy. I'll find out tonight and let you know.

Could you give me a quote for ride? Or if you provide me rough box and weight dimensions and I'll check it through my fedex account. I'd love to buy the hood too, but shipping would be an arm and leg on that.

Also, did the truck have the ram assist power steering? If so, I'm interested in buying the complete setup as well

Re: Parting out 67 LWB AC Cab

I think it did originally, the SPID shows it did, but has manual now. The only thing i have that resembles anything of the original power steering is this bracket *from what I've been told, I'm still unsure what its for*

Re: Parting out 67 LWB AC Cab

mahania : looks like 64x34x10 at least. I had a set of headers set FEDex for under 20 to a business in about the same size box with probably weight less then this fender. But that was 4 or 5 months ago and from Houston to Austin. 78612. Lemmie know.

Yeah, looks like the ram assist was removed. The gear box was the same for manual and power steering cause the ram assist was independent of the gear box

That fender is RIGHT at the girth limits for FedEx price jump. I measured my existing fender and it's 57x25x8. To ship it without a box (obviously I wouldn't ask you to do that) It would cost $27. If I increase each measurement 2 inches to 59x27x10 the price jumps up to $90. To ship the size box you mention it would be $105.

Is there any way you would be willing to build a smaller box? I could kick an extra $20 your way if you could make a 58x26x9 wood box. One sheet of 15/32" presswood should be enough, which is only $9 a sheet. The box and fender could weigh up to 70lbs and still only cost $30 to ship it. Figured it's worth asking....

Re: Parting out 67 LWB AC Cab

PM sent for alfee for $28 total shipped vent windows.

Thunder : i'll get pics. I just took a look. Has one or two small dimples in the bottom center. Thinking 35 shipped pending pics and my ability to not mess them up getting it off.

mahania : let me look into it to be for sure.

Re: Parting out 67 LWB AC Cab

I'm interested in the grill assembly as well, would you take $150 for the grill assembly and driver side fender? I know they would need to be shipped separately, but I think it would fit in a box small enough to meet the smaller girth requirements. Let me know what you think.

Hey Jay, I'm sure that's ok. If no one said, "they'd take it," then you have every right to do with it as you please.

I haven't seen anything that said you couldn't do that.

Re: Parting out 67 LWB AC Cab

I'm still interested in the grill assembly and front fender.

If you don't want to box them and think you could wrap them well enough with cardboard, bubble wrap, shrink wrap, or whatever I'm willing to give that a try.

Re: Parting out 67 LWB AC Cab

nightmare : good. Just giving the thread notice. BTW thanks again, hows the seats working??

mahanian : i talked to the guys at the post office today. I think i'm on the same track that your thinking. Just break down some boxes and double wrap it in cardboard. I just shipped the vents the same way. Looked like it worked pretty good. That should work. I"ll get the grill pulled tonight and let you know what were looking at total for itand the fender.
