The name of the rental company was "EZ-Haul." Their logo was two or three cartoon-elephants, like a Momma & one or two babies.

Their company green color of their trucks was a good bit darker than the stock color pictured. A lot more what I'd call "Shamrock-Green."

I had a former EZ-Haul 2-ton, 24' box-bodied '72 - (c-50, I think it was), that I used as an insulation blowing rig for a business I had from '79 thru '85. The elephant logo decals were gone when I got the truck, but you could still see the faded-outline where they were on the box body.

Sorry no pix. Insulation business is an itchy-scratchy distant memory I'd just as soon forget.

Should have read the whole string before I posted. 67 C 30 beat me to it.

Re: Ever see this Stock color ?

It`s one of those fleet trucks that 67_C30 showedand 68shortetep is talking about,no doubt.Their logo was three elephants hooked snout to tail.
Here`s under the hood of that truck he showed:

Re: Ever see this Stock color ?

Yep, Special K....Thats the one I bought, how did you get pictures of the engine before the owner pulled it LOL? That is exactly what mine looks like under the hood. Even has the firewall writing like mine.

Does anyone think it is worth saving or should I go with my plan of scrapping the body and putting on another ? The cab is Fair needs rockers, and some minor floor repair. ( everything in MO needs those though) and I will have to try to get a title (it was pulled out of a storge unit). I bought it for the frme and suspension, I was thinking either a Ramp truck or dually shortbed with a wheel lift eventually.

True it is red now, I was reffering to its stock or factory color, it is exactly the same as the two moving company trucks in the post.

Re: Ever see this Stock color ?

The case has been solved. Verdict is in.Jury says it was a E-Z Haul rental truck ordered from Chevrolet with special paint company colors.Color is different from standard light green.

Re: Ever see this Stock color ?

Yep, and since there are probably alot of those trucks out there and not very rare I am probably going to go with a different color when I make it a ramp truck.

Re: Ever see this Stock color ?

I don`t think there are that many.I`m sure they aren`t running around with original paint.

Here's mine. I can't tell if its a little darker than the other trucks. I can't get to the SPID right now, its buried in a snow bank at the moment.

It appears that One of the newly retired EZ-Haul rental trucks was used and unfortunately destroyed in the 1975 film Race with the Devil..
