I hear ya. I'm wondering how long it's going to look good. At least I have some pictures to remember how nice it was!

Someone needs to come up with a "trex deck" material for beds. hmmm, may be an opportunity here!

Your truck looks AMAZING! I love that wood and stainless combo! You may have already said, what tank did you use and where did you get it? thanks,
Mike

Very nice truck! When the bed looks that nice it's almost a shame to put on a tailgate.

Hey SCOTTMO, Your truck is beautiful! I have to show you this picture. This truck was on ebay about a year ago and has been part of my inspiration while building mine. Looks a lot like yours.

I can send you more pics of this truck if you are interested in seeing them.

Re: Getting closer on my 67 stepside

I got them from Jegs
http://www.jegs.com/i/GM+Performance...97978/10002/-1

When I bought my engine through Jegs, it showed up with dented valve covers. Ugly stock ones. I called Jegs and they weren't able to get just the valve covers to replace them so they gave me those. I would have bought them anyways, so it workd out well.

Re: Getting closer on my 67 stepside

That's a beautiful truck! The bed is outstanding and the engine bay is very clean. You did ask about the height...I think a little less tire in the rear with another 2" of drop would look even better. Still WOW, good job!

Re: Getting closer on my 67 stepside

Thanks all! I agree with the rear. I'll have to work on wearing out the rear tires after I break in the engine Next tires will probably be 40 series (in the back only) and drop it maybe an inch to set the fender over the tire more. I have to say with the height like it is, I don't have to worry about anything hitting the ground, which is nice.
