Re: Sitting 10 yrs & finally started!!
IT'S ALIVE!! Last night they got it started! Now the rest starts up. Got a heatbeat dual exhaust & had to make phone calls as it didn't seem to hook up correctly. Had 1 muffler horizontal & 1 vertical. After laying it out on the floor & marking it to line up on the floor, it went back in place & was correct. Went to Craigslist & found leather seat cover for $25 a piece & will change from cloth to leather real soon. Then got the material on its way to redo the door panels & sun visors & such. Will be here tomorrow.
I was told this will be my personal "Pimp My Ride" for my birthday,10/17/1946. That will be the unvailing & I was told I won't see it for the last week before the vailing!! NEAT!! Will post pics tomorrow on the update.

Re: Sitting 10 yrs & finally started!!
I'm changing the 2007 Mustang cloth seats to leather seat covers & also ordered some like leather material from a shop in Burton,mi. The material will likewise be black & matches the seat covers exectly. This will be used to replace the door panels that have black carpet on them right now. Same with sun visors. Also will cover the console. We made the console ourselves. These people will replace the cloth with the leather seat covers for $75 per seat!! Everyone else wanted $145 - 150 per seat. Will take new pics tomorrow & post them. Material should be in tomorrow. Howard

Re: Sitting 10 yrs & finally started!!
I got the call yesterday that the fabric is now in & I talked to Brad today. He is awaiting some material to finish up his project so he was able to get started on my project today.
#1. We are taking 07 Mustang seat that are cloth & have the seat covers that are leather to slip on them. #2. We stripped the old carpet off of the door panels & the sunvisors & he will be redoing them with the "Leather Vinyl" material that came in. All fabric & the interior is Black. Will try to take some pics ASAP, Howard

Re: Sitting 10 yrs & finally started!!
I went today & picked up the seats. First is the old cloth seats. They are out of a 2007 Mustang. He took the cloth off & installed some leather seat covers on them. Then a pic of one of the NEW seats.

Re: Sitting 10 yrs & finally started!!
I agree with you & thank you for the reply. I can't get the console till next week as he is awaiting some more material. We are going to do a "Pimp My Ride" grand finale on my birthday= 10/17/1946. Complete with the tarp cover & all. I was told I can't see the baby the last week. Howard

Re: Sitting 10 yrs & finally started!!
Got the box back today & it looks great. The guy did the sandblasting with baking powder? I was told that sandblasting causes the metal to warp, so they use baking powder? Jerry, my restorer, started on the P/W & here is the pic. of the right side almost done. He also looked at the P/D/L. He said it would be a real PIA as neither of the systems have a ready to connect harness? Also picked up the door top pieces & you will see them in the pic. Howard
