Re: 71 Cheyenne Super- A Combined Effort

Talked with the sand blaster today and the frame and suspension components should be blasted and primed by tomorrow. I hope to have pictures in a couple of days.

Re: 71 Cheyenne Super- A Combined Effort

I have a little update today. We got the frame parts back from the sand blaster. He blasted the frame, control arms, cross member and trailing arms. He also primed everything for us. Geoff and I decided to use the Extreme Chassis Black Paint from Eastwood and we are using the matching primer as well. Here is what the frame looked like before:

...and here is what it looks like now:

Misc parts before:

...and after:

The next step is to paint everything and begin the assembly process. It will be nice working with parts that are not covered in grease and rust.

Re: 71 Cheyenne Super- A Combined Effort

nice progress guys. working with a nice clean foundation makes all those busted knuckles getting it apart, a distant memory is that a 67/68 frame? the hole in the core support looks small. keep up the great work.

Good eye! It is a 67 frame. We are either going to open the hole up in the mounts or use 67 core support bushings.

You would think that I could stop by your house considering I only live 30 minutes away, but life has been busy lately! I'll try to catch up with you in the near future.
