Wow very cool, I think I will go with a new style built in system now. where in the world will I find those controls built in the dash, are they from a chevy ??

Thats the animal. Ive been trying to find those vents but I know I wont. I cannot stand the look of aftermarket a/c systems in these trucks.

When I looked at that 66 jimmy @Tom's, I noticed the cables, knobs, bezels etc all look just like the Chev version, only mounted on a black L shaped bracket underdash. The plenum stopped instead of going up to the center vent, instead it had a short plenum with nipples for the ducts on each end of the dash. The ducts look like ones from late-50s Pontiacs.

Check out this site as well http://www.oldairproducts.com Was thinking of something like this and then having a piece of steel bent the lenght of the dash and installing the vents.

The only problem I see on all these A/C units is that they take a lot of the glove box space and the fan/heater really takes up a lot of firewall space and foot space in the cab.......
