Re: Project TiC TaC cause it gonna be orange.....

Well I got a ton done today but ran out of time.
Cab and Bed off
all frame cross members removed
front end removed
rear end removed

Just gotta get the frame rails cut bolted up and out for coating

Next on the list rebuild the rear end
get the frame together and get the wheels on it

yeah especially since my buddy couldn't deal with the air hammer noise so I had to pound them out with a hammer lol

Was fun though.

I did run into one issue the rear end is apparently out of a 90's chevy truck I think.

Its a 9.5 inch 14 bolt I tried to run the numbers but found nothing.

Been putting in some time. Had to take a day off after nearly grinding off my pointer finger, gashing the front with a cut off wheel and then sledge hammering my knee. It was an injury laden day for me lol ..

Yeah its is still in the box. Got the whole setup man. I debated the rack but after thinking about it I couldn't resist. Such a better steering system and looks so clean compared to the gear box.

Me either I am only 30 days into it and have got a lot done. Hopefully I can keep the pace. I had a large un expected expenditure come in the area of 8.5k so that will take some wind out of my sails for a bit. But the powder coater will need 2 weeks due to the back log they currently And I am gonna just take a nice 2 week break on top of that so not much will be done for a month.

Nice build man!Youre gonna love that metallic silver powder coat, thats the color I went with.I think Im gonna stick to gloss black powder on the rails though.

Yeah I though about that but with the custom orange bed liner underneath I didn't want it to look like Halloween under there. Dark Charcoal metallic will look much better for my liking on the rails and give it a bit of flare with the silver metallic.

Re: Project TiC TaC cause it gonna be orange.....

Well gotta finish rebuilding the rear end before I put it all back together so the frame is not just taking up a ton of space at my buddies shop plus it gives me time to order the wheels. . But the powder work is amazing best I have seen.
