Spent the last two days fabricating a dolly for the stepside bed from some 2X4's and spare Golf Car Parts from work. Cost all of $16.

Than when I tried to wrap my head around ordering new bedsides and stepside fenders I ended up with front fenders, rear bumper, tailgate chains, and hood hinges as well. Top Bannana has 10% off expiring today so just seemed right!

Make Shift Sand Blasting Booth...

Quickly cut some Yellow Pine for the Bed Yesterday. Since Im going stock kept it pine. Going to Spray it with some Balck epoxy primer hopefully this weekend before the bed Re-assembly. Will be re-using the cross sills. Replacing everything else. Got $139 and Three Hours time total. Still have to block sand it. That included the $20 Fostner bit I needed for the oblong holes.

Thanks Tanman.. Sorry for the slow updating. Got alot done!

Bed is assembled. and body is at work waiting for a price from the paint shop.
Got the Wheels, Hubcaps, Bumbers and Mirrors pedr coated. (look Great!
Made some fiberglass stencils to repaint the hubcaps. New Tires Mounted..
Cleaned and spray the chassis.

This week I started the brakes and next week I hope to have the engine all re=sealed and painted!

Was it easier to put a whole floor in Vs. new rocker panels and cab supports? I need both of them done on my truck.

My floor was rotted a ways beyond the available patch panels. I found the floor as a whole pretty easy to do after the right bracing and being very careful. If you can do Cab supports and inner/outer rockers I would try that first. Those parts are pretty inexpensive and if you find you dont like the way it comes out you could always beat the old floor out. (Thats pretty much what happened with me.)

The Floor? Want too bad really. Bought some good spot weld cutters from my tool guy at work and took my time. I impressed myself. Best yet with the new floor inplace was easy to line up the A & B Pillar Patchs and the new rockers.

1/2 ton caps are 10- 1/2" (these were 73+ caps with the yellow bowtie) After I had them blasted and powdercoated I stencil in the blue to make them correct for 69-72

So, would 12" diameter caps be 3/4 ton?

Rebuild the Engine thise week. 20 Over Pistons, New Rockers, Lifters, Pushrods etc....

Nice weather today was able to lay some paint on it. Hope to get it back in it's chassis this week!!!
