Re: any extended cabs? Details in how you did it

Think it would be important to keep everything as stock as possible to maintain the "factory" look. Use a folding seat back bench or Blazer buckets for access. Full carpet like a bucket seat truck either way.

Re: any extended cabs? Details in how you did it

I have a 70 c10 longbox. This truck already needs floor work and rockers. You are right about reinforcing the hinge area but that shouldn't be too hard. Would have to move the rear cab mount back.I think it would almost take 2 cabs so that there is only 1 seam in the roof and that would make it easier to get the curve right.Same with the doors.Just thinking out loud.I'll shut up now I'm highjacking this thread. Sorry.

Re: any extended cabs? Details in how you did it

Using burb "square cornered" front doors, and duplicating the "quarter window" to mirror the look of the front doors,... is the key to making these trucks look right.
Very few have pulled it off in my opinion.

I think this is what Keith is talking about, I think this looks like what it should if factory built. I have a bunch of pics of this truck..came real close to bringing it home..shortbed, tubbed and had a built 283 all for 2500 bucks. I wanted to put it on a 4x4 chassis. The poor thing is now sitting in a feild last I knew.

You are exactly right!
That thing is perfect and the way it should be done.
Do you know if it's still for sale?

I built it- spent about 10 months on it. I like it but, it can be a pain in a parking lot.

I would love that truck!
Can you send me some pics of the outside and inside of the truck?
Do you have any pics from the build?
What problems did you have if any?

Thanks

There is a black Trazer someone has on the board that the doors were lengthened. I dont remember how much, something around the 4 to 6 inch range. Most people would never guess they are a little wider.

I'll look for some pics- do not have them in digital format- built in 1996. No major problems- just a lot of time & money!

Do you have any contact info about this extended cab? I live east of Wichita just a little ways and I would like to go check it out.
