Orange and white one on feeBay right now .. just saying, I think it was in the $16k range. The Super emblem on the side looks a bit off to me though.

Re: Craigslist findings

I'm going to look at this 72 K10 'burb tomorrow - what do you guys think of the price?

Hard to say I know but apparently the body is in decent shape save for some rocker panel and driver side floor pan rust. Interesting it has AC but no gauges

Coley: Just curious what the process is like if a Canadian purchases a truck in the US for export back to Canada i.e. customs duties, inspection, emissions, etc. Is it straightforward or a hassle? Pete

Pete...its pretty easy. I've brought back 3 trucks within the last 15 years. 1 from Florida ('66), 1 from Georgia (05' Silverado) and 1 from California ('72).
There are 2 things needed paperwork wise:
a) The correct/original title (no photocopies or stories)....
b) a good, traceable bill of sale (no napkin pencil sketches) with a phone number and some reasonable info. This can be handwritten but it needs to show reasonable legitamacy.
THEN:
-Pick a border crossing point into Canada and fax copies of all the above paperwork to that border point (U.S customs...NOT Canadian) 72hrs prior to when you want to cross. They will send you acknowledgement that they received it.
-Show up with the truck and the real paperwork and the U.S customs will give you an 'all clear' piece of paper that you walk across the parking lot to the Canadian Customs.
THEN:
-Pay a basic tax on it (6%)...they give you an 'imported' form and drive on thru....
After that you have to have the truck safety inspected locally before they issue you new local paperwork for it.
Now, all of the above is not that big a deal really...if you really find something worthwhile. Its always worked out great for me...all my trucks are good ones, no surprises, no hassles, good deals. I'd go again!!!
All Good
Coley

Re: Craigslist findings

I started seeing this truck about a month ago. Wadmalaw Island is small rural island with one way on and off. I don't know the story on it yet. I think it belongs to a older black guy, that's who I see driving it anyway. That ad says he has another 72 as well.
If someone is seriously interested in it I can go look at it for them before they spend the time driving here to look at it. However, curiosity will probably drive me to go look at it myself since it's so close.

Re: Craigslist findings

Here's some 67-68 buddy buckets that look to be in good shape, recovered in black velour fabric. price is a little steep ($1500) IMO.
