Re: 1971 Medium green K 5 Blazer

The more I read the forums the more I seem to read about rust. I guess I was really fortunate to find the Blazer I bought with no rust. This is a picture of the floors before restoration. Not trying to brag, just lucky. Thanks to everybody again for the positive comments. I guess that this is why people want California trucks

Must not be common now as I can't seem to even find a picture posted anywhere of one like it. Thanks for the reply

This is the only piece I have left after restoration. Does any body have an idea where this goes? Is about 12" long. Thanks

That goes on the driver side inner fenderwell paralell to the frame rail and on the frame side of the steering column shaft.

Re: 1971 Medium green K 5 Blazer

Thanks Tom, I see where it goes, but not sure what it does? I have put another $7000 in paint and interior work. I was going to restore it and sell it, but I love driving it too much. That's the same story I told my wife when I bought my 68 mustang fastback and my 66 Impala SS. Thanks again for the info.

I can't seem to adjust the passenger mirror to a position that i can see while driving. The mirror is stock reproduction 71 72 Blazer mirror. Any ideas?

Re: 1971 Medium green K 5 Blazer

Just took the top off and drove the Blazer for the first time topless. Way more fun with the top off. When you cruise around with the top on some people notice, but with the top off everybody notices. I may never put it back on....

I have had my Blazer for 5 years and I have come to the conclusion that there is no way to make the stock location work.

I agree!!! There is nothing like it.
Has anyone asked you "why did you ruin a perfectly good truck by cutting the roof off" yet? It gets old real fast.
