Re: 58 3600 build

Headers are is night mare I bought them off eBay from dale wich he claimed American made built of old hookers design made by him to his spec I get drop shipped patriont Mexico made 55-57 fenders wells I paid 309.99 patriots are everywhere for 235 shipped sellers didn't understand my problem escallated case to eBay , he said return them wich he didn't want to at first or offer cash back for being deceptive so I sent them back at 40.32 were they came from know he claiming the supply center will probably discard them because I didn't send them back to him he claims he gave me return address wich he didn't so I just escalited case for eBay to decide

Re: 58 3600 build

update as of 10;00 last night ebay closed the case in sellers favor so i was out 310 for headers and 40.32 for shipping and no headers, i spent over 1 hour on the phone today talking to ebay resolition center and after i finally got a manger he agrred with me he said he would of sent them back were they came from himself if he wasent provided a alternative address to ship them to , so he granted me a 309.95 credit and i bought a set of the same ones from jegs today for 235.95 shipped

Re: 58 3600 build

sorry for my delay i have been quite busy getting the truck together it now runs and drives ill try to walk you guys thru the process and question or comments just ask.
i guess i should start with the cab and frame were i left off firewall had been cut and needed to be delt with and the frame had driveline sitting in it i made some plates in a brake and recessed the firewall center back 4" to gain needed clearence

i also filled the 4o some unneeded holes in the firewall and mounted the pedals

at the same time as i was finishing cab i stipped the front suspension down again and wased painted and reassembled it with loctite

i also got a chance to paint the blower wrinklefinish black

Re: 58 3600 build

heres the suprise i was talking about, you may have noticed i ran out of room for a power steering pump, so i found a solution , enter the world or elec power steering , mount it anyware, 3 wire hook up , remote tank. if any one has any questions on what i used feel free to ask the setup was quite cheap. well i was mounting it i installed a starter shutoff switch antitheft it is a cat battery disconnect switch great part is even if you find it i dout anyone will know what kind of key it takes

Re: 58 3600 build

i then got time to reset the cab to the frame, and had to flip the 2 tubes on drivers headers from next to the tire to the back

Re: 58 3600 build

hers a long needed update im currently in rebuilding truck phase 2 it was complete i had it together until aug when a valve dropped and cracked block, to my suprise when i disassembled engine i found left bank all pistions were 180deg off. so i got aggervated and said the hell with the 3mpg fuel sucker, i removed engine and trans and began selling off parts. hers some pics off the truck done i took home a oldskool24 award in the old skool round up in syracuse nationals , and was also a reads ride in rat rod magazine last issue.

With all this in mind i dug out a 6cyl i had sitting apart for the last few years and started a mockup
