Re: Always a project truck...............my driveway build

So it seems almost everything is made in China these days:

Raybestos Pro Grade brake lines = China
Raybestos Pro Grade rotors = China
AC Delco starter = China

Crazy! It's been a long while since I've sourced replacement parts for anything, "Made in the USA" is rare I see!

I sent the other Raybestos items back. Anyone know the quality of their Chinese rotors?

Crazy!

It's the stock 3spd. I'm not sure what the designation is exactly though.

Re: Always a project truck...............my driveway build

Update: I went ahead and ordered the Clifford setup for my little 250.

includes the Intake Manifold, Shorty Headers, Weber Carb (38 DGAS), and the stuff to hook it all up. Hoping this makes a nice driver!

Thank you, Good to know! Spent a little more time cleaning things up yesterday:

One thing I wanted to mention. Porterbuilt, great to deal with. It's not always when everything goes perfectly that you get to know the quality of an organization and/or individual, but it's when there's a mistake, misstep, issue, whatever......that's more often the time you get the real measure of integrity. My first set of LCA's weren't exactly right, I contacted Dave, sent a call tag that day, had a replacement set to my door in about a week. Absolutely perfect! It's nice to know there's a few out there doing it right

Re: Always a project truck...............my driveway build

engine sealed, ready for more cleaning. I would like to finish cleaning/prepping the block, front crossmember and firewall today and get some paint down tonight or tomorrow morning. That's the goal anyway!

Hey thanks, trying my best a little at a time; glad to be through a good portion of the dirt/grease though. This is as far as I'm going to take her apart so everything "should" get a whole lot prettier from here!

for the firewall I mostly used 4 1/2 grider paint stripping wheel, assortment of wire brushes, and roloc pads.

for the enfine block I used mostly an assortment of wire wheels, round die grinding bit, roloc discs, and scotchbrite pads.
