So he's saying there is an iron foundary in Las Vegas making Vorrtec heads???????

Re: Engine Build ?

I may be mistaken, but I believe the EQ heads are cast in China and 'assembled' here in the USA.

Since we still don't know what cu in engine is being built, I would guess to say that the 200cc intake port heads would be a bit too big for a street driven engine. A head in the 170-185cc would be a better choice for low speed driveability. Maybe 195cc if the engine was a stout 383-406.

Re: Engine Build ?

I told my builder about some of the suggestions you guys have made and he agrees with some of it, but he said he has been building engines for 30 years and the one he is doing for me is about his 10th of this kind. He has no idea about the head builder but since there close to us were we going to give them a try. The Head parts all come from (http://www.precisionengineparts.com/#!about-us/cfvg) who have been building head parts for 35 years. I decided to go with the 185cc Vortec Heads with polished intake ports. The head Co. said they guarantee the heads and they will be pressure tested before shipping.
The engine will be around 383 he said he hates being like everyone else.
He also said that we can use the Carb that is on my engine now (1406 Edelbrock ) Since my motor only has 28k miles on it we are going to clean it up for resale to comp some of the cash back.
Thanks Everyone
Jack
