Re: A New teenage member!

WOW thanks for all the compliments guys!! Yes my plan is to keep it as original as possible while still doing some small upgrades. Oh and no I am not going into the auto business, I am planning on following in my dad's footsteps and becoming a firefighter.

Re: A New teenage member!

Welcome from the land of corn and beans. Your truck is exactly what I wanted in high school. Used to dream of a blue/white or orange/white 71-72 but ended up with an '83 Cutlass instead. It took me 20 years to get my C10.

Hey Wyatt, welcome aboard (although you've been here awhile).
Great job on your truck! We can tell you are proud of it and you should be. You can also be proud of yourself, I'm sure your Dad is proud of you too.
We are honored to have you as part of our family. Keep on doing what your doing.

Re: A New teenage member!

Some new blood, that's awesome!

Nice truck, too. I bought my '69 when I was 14, rebuilt it frame-up with my dad, drove it all thru high-school, and still have it...20 years later.

I also have a Prom pic similar to your homecoming pic....with my now wife

Here's one of my senior pics

Re: A New teenage member!

A few small updates! Brothers was having a big end of summer sale so I picked up a new inginition bezel, ( More chrome! ) and since it was becoming difficult to roll the window up and down I replaced the passenger side window regulator. Here are a few pics from today. Finally got some time to give it a really good reatail!

Hi Wyatt!!!

That's a real nice truck you have.

Love the color.

I'm also someone who's truck is older than they are (bet you get that a lot) but my truck and I are both

made in the 70s.

It's nice to meet you as I'm new as well. I'll see you around.

Re: A New teenage member!

Well guys tomorrow I start deconstruction on the truck! Kind of.. The engine has always leaked a lot of oil and I think it's time to put a stop to it! I will be pulling off the entire front clip off and pulling the motor and trans to give them a little freshening up. The truck runs perfect right now but just leaks a lot of oil so I will not rebuilding the engine but it is getting a VERY good cleaning, all new seals and good paint job. Same goes for the core support and inner fenders, they will get sandblasted and either powdercoated or just sprayed satin black. I know you guys love pics so there will be many pics to come!
