Re: Just found a 1967 swb survivor!

Wow, thanks for all the comments! The plans are to get the motor back together, detail it and drive it. As for the bumper, the P.O. told me that after his father passed away they were using the truck to pick up sticks after a storm. A tree had partially fallen down and he had the bright idea to push the tree the rest of the way down by backing in to it. Needless to say, the tree won!
Here's some pictures of what I've done so far. Anyone who knows me knows that she's getting white wall tires and hubcaps . I've got a lot of the interior out for detailing.

Re: Just found a 1967 swb survivor!

Bed floor was cleaned up and is arrow straight, but pitted pretty bad. Right bedside does have a dent. P.O. just mudded it instead of fixing it right, which is what I'll have done. Check out original offset door mirror.

Joshua,

She's a beauty!!! She's going to be a fun runabout for sure...

Love the shot of the tag. I gave the grandson that I bought the truck from back the '84 tag off mine before I towed it home. Wished I'd snapped a pic of it before I took it off...

Dang Josh, another fine original. I've seen way fewer trucks than the other three. A good old truck color with a trim option and other fancies. I like the 6cyl/PG combo.

Nice find. I may have some of the trim your missing. Nothing perfect, but might help you with your driver.

Very nice truck, can't wait to see it back on the road. The interior on my 67 is a different blue than the exterior blue.

Re: Just found a 1967 swb survivor!

Awesome find!

If those are the original hubcaps, I'd be worried to use them lest they got stolen.

Are you putting the L6 back in it? Love a detailed and correct 6-banger, just because you never see them.

I didn't get hubcaps with the truck, but shelled out nearly $250 on ebay for these! I've got an even nicer set of full wheel covers but I haven't decided which ones to use. Yes, I'm going back with detailed 250 L6 and I'm adding correct power steering.

Thumbs up Alabama 1967 swb survivor!

Wow Josh ;

That's a really nice rig you've got there .

Kudos for keeping it original ! .

When folks say " patina " , THIS is what the word means , not rusted to junk .

I dig it and look forward to seeing what you do with it. Will you be adding disc brakes or keeping the drums?

Chris - keeping drum all the way around.
cleszkie - I waxed a small spot and the paint did come to life with little effort. I'm going to have the whole truck buffed and see what she looks like.
