A few of you guys have asked what is the best way to seal the Delete plate from the firewall and here is what I have been doing.
The factory piece seals with a gummy rubber seal just like the heater does to the firewall. For the sake of cleanliness I chose to go a different route. I went to my local Ace hardware and had a look the foam sealers they have. I think the best choice is a medium density foam backing like this one.


It seems to have a good firmness but is spongey enough to flatten out and give you a good seal.


The adhesive backing will stick to the delete panel without issue. I leave about an 1/8 inch gap from the edge of the part so that once it compresses on the firewall you won't see the foam behind it.


Just go around the perimeter of the part so that it meets up again at the starting point with no gaps and you will have a nice seal once its installed.


I will leave the seal up to the buyer since some guys want to paint the part and its pretty hard with the seal already on there. Hope that answers your questions on the seal. Thanks again everyone

I just removed my heater and am looking for something like this to replace it with, my only concern is on my truck it has studs coming out where the heater box was attached, any ideas

those studs attach to the inside half of your heater. You can leave it there and install this delete plate over the firewall hole. The studs will line up with the holes in the delete plate. Or you can remove the inside heater box portion and install the delete plate with bolts like I do. Either way works.

It happens Once you get that other half off the firewall you can just install the heater delete in its place and its all good. I have both plates in stock if you want to order. All orders from today and tomorrow will ship Monday guys! Thanks

I started these delete plates for my own projects because its a part I just couldn't find out there, and after a few friends convinced me to offer them to the public, I decided to give it a go.
