Re: 5.7 Intake and Fuel Injection

Final report: Engine runs smooth all the emissions tests have run on my cheapo tester and now have a green light. The truck has a lot more power. I need to drive it more so I can check the gas mileage. It will be easy to check. I've recorded every fill up since new in 97. Still an issue with the radiator not holding pressure for more than an hour. New cap and the radiator held pressure for 3 hours using my pressure tester. Maybe a bad new cap? I'll have to check it.

Thanks to everyone who chimed in and helped make the job go smooth!

Re: 5.7 Intake and Fuel Injection

I've finally gotten a full tank of gas through the truck since doing the fuel injection spider. So far the power is WAY up and the mileage is up 1 or 2 MPG. I'm attributing the small amount of gain in MPG to the fun of having more power.

One issue though. Brand new radiator cap and it is leaking around the top onto the radiator neck. Not sure why the pressure isn't relieved into the overflow tank.
