Andy I had a fellow member convince me to do a set for him. I'm thinking I may do a few sets. I planned to throw them on eBay but if a fellow board member is interested they can pm me. The ones I'm making for the other member will be more like the ones you posted . They will have 48 round top led s , the led s will be red and are super brights 15000 mcd each. They will have a dim and bright for brake/turn. No fancy outer line like mine unless someone wants something custom...... I'm not planning on going into business but I will help a few out. The ones I'm making now will have 1157 pigtails to plug right in..

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: homade led tails (sneak peak)

Is 7" tall enough to fill the tail light lense? I had my lenses off the other day to replace them and I feel like they were 8 or 9" tall on the inside.

Never mind. I zoomed in on the picture and now I see that it is two boards put together, I'm guessing from the 5" side and then trimmed down to fit the lense. Super great work. I'm terrible at soldering, but I think I'm going to make this one of my projects for the winter.

Re: homade led tails (sneak peak)

That's really nice! I can solder and what not, so I am going to try this. Do you mind questions that are inevitably going to come your way?

THANKS!

Re: homade led tails (sneak peak)

Nah I don't, and all the ones made for board members are one piece boards. And the soldering is cleaner.

Re: homade led tails (sneak peak)

What is the black stuff you used for the backing and the white stuff you used to space the led setup away from the tail light lense?

Re: homade led tails (sneak peak)

finally getting around to building these. What is the black stuff you put on the back, and the white stuff you used to space off the Lense?
Also, please help me understand, why you need the 120-ohm resisters. Seems to me as long as you get the correct number of lights in a series, there would not be a need. Also seems all they would do is dim the lighting. What am I missing?
