That makes good sense. If I wind up with another S10 for the swap, I will definitely do that. The frame I have is a roller, but I will think about how I can implement this with it.

Put enough weight on the frame to get it dropped down so lower control arms are level viewed from the front. Then use links where the shocks go to keep it there. Then add weight to rear to get lower control arm level viewed from side. Install links on rear shocks. That should be close to your stock S10 frame height. Then put old truck on the frame like previous post and when done remove links and adjust springs to get it back to that height.
