Cool... I am still concerned about that back spacing on the 15x8 and 15x10

Re: New 15x8 and 15x10 6 lug steelies ready to ship

It was brought to my attention that some of the specs on the wheels listed on my website had incorrect dimensions. Thank you to Jon Krogh for letting me know. I have corrected the information on the website www.cooperrestorations. Sorry for any confusion this has caused. If you have any questions feel free to contact me at 765-661-1723. If I dont answer, please leave a message, and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Re: New 15x8 and 15x10 6 lug steelies ready to ship

Will the 10" wide with the 4.5" backspace fit on a 68 with a drop? i know there are some width differences between some year model rear ends...

Re: New 15x8 and 15x10 6 lug steelies ready to ship

Yes, they actually work best in a 67-68 rear end, since it's narrower. I am running them on a 72 with 6.5" of drop, and they fit ok, but it's close. Are you wanting a quote on just the 2 rear wheels? Send me a p.m. with your shipping address.
Thanks,

Jocko... double check those back spacings... the OEM 15x8 is 3.75... These are 4.25...

That is a problem on the 67 trucks...

Re: New 15x8 and 15x10 6 lug steelies ready to ship

The OEM 15x8 wheels were 4.25" backspacing. The original narrow wheels that came on the truck had less backspacing. When using these on my truck with 4.25" backspacing, I had to add to my steering stops to keep the inside of the rim from rubbing my lower control arm.

I am basing my statements on the 2 OEM Firestone wheels that are on the front of my truck... They are 3.75" BS...

I will be ordering 2 15x10 5 lug from you...

Awesome... thank you! You will be happy with them. The finish on them is a great base to paint over. I am not sure what should be done to powdercoat them.

The center hole looks bigger than the GM wheels. I'm sure they will fit but then the wheels will be carried exclusively by the lugs rather than the hub. Any concerns??

The center hole in the actual wheel is the factory size. You are looking at the computer image, that isn't exactly accurate.

I am very sorry! There is not a trace of that order coming in. I even get email notices when we get a new order, and there are none in your name. If you would like to reorder, please do and I will personally see to it that it gets taken care of.

Re: New 15x8 and 15x10 6 lug steelies ready to ship

I think it's fantastic that these wheels are now finally being offered in new. In the future when I have the need for wide 6-lug wheels I will be sure to make a purchase. I debate over going 6-lug on my '67 project that sits on '71 frame and now I just may, when the time comes.

All that said, I just want to get something off my chest. I find the comments on the used wheels people were up to this point so happy to find to be offensive and irritating, as well as a display of ignorance. I could very well be the one on this site who has sold more standard to wide 6-lug OEM-type steel wheels than any other here. I sold nothing but good quality undamaged true and round wheels with healthy lug nut holes that were just as good as new. That's where the ignorance comes in. That is the beauty of steel wheels, when they get crappy looking you can sand blast and powder coat to have a wheel as good as new. Age has no effect, as long as damage has not occurred or allowed to rust to the point it affects the bead or structure. The irritating part is I offered quality wheels at a fair price, not overpriced. $100 a wheel is not a lot of money these days and people were glad to pay, even with the high expense of shipping added. You buy these new wheels and in 50 years you will have just as good a wheel as the day you bought it. Some wheels I sold were still in the 50 year old black primer with barely a hint of rust flash on bare metal and with mfgrs stickers on them. Possibly N.O.S., and they were no better or more expensive than the ones I sand blasted layers of paint and rust off of. The worst wheels I powder coated so the buyer could see the final result, which was pleasing enough to make them want to buy them o run on their gem.

Re: New 15x8 and 15x10 6 lug steelies ready to ship

I got my 15x10 5 lug wheels today... they are very nice wheels but they are different from the 15x10 5 lug picture that is shown... these are 3 nub wheels not 4 nub like what is shown in the picture at what the factory wheel is...

Again this is a really nice wheel...

Dan, the picture that I posted shows a three nub wheel. Are we not talking about the same pic?

Oh, I see. The manufacturers pic on my website does show a 4 nub. The pic in my ad here shows the 6 lug with 3 nub. Thank you for letting me know, that should be changed.

by the way i meant no disrespect... I posted this like this so nobody else would expect a 4 nub and so you could research it...

Again this is a very nice wheel... I have already spun it on the balancer and will not require a weight on the bare wheel so it is perfectly tru...
