Go for it.

Looks good. The black trim as edging between the two colors looks good, and I think the right shade of blue metalic would be very nice indeed.
IMHO, of course

/<eyestroke, you the man and I agree it does look better with the muted colors, much like the gold is. Very nice truck though.

Looks sharp, blue would be even purtier.

Thanks to the members who went through all the trouble to photoshop some alternatives.

I think the key is to go with a "softer" colour about the same shade as the gold. I want to go with GM Medium Metallic blue from '68. Maybe the white needs to be brought down a few notches so that it isn't quite so bright.

Two complaints about the truck in this picture:

1. I don't like the newer molding. The '67-'68 moulding flows with the body lines and really makes the trucks look sharp.

2. I don't like bed covers that extend above the box line because it messes with the lines of the truck.

'94 F-150 from the "F word" company. I'll admit it...good truck. Sold what was left of it for $800 to a guy who came to pick it up at 11:00 PM with cash in hand. Hmm.
'79 Sierra Grande (Black) organ donor - perfect rebuildable 4-bolt 350 and a good TH350.

'59 C-50 - with hoist. Truck is gone, wife isn't. Nuff said.

Front View

Trinic you've got a beautiful truck!

Here is the front view of that truck. Again, I got it from Classic Truck. I've seen it featured a couple of times over the last few years.
