Update on the HF "Black Widow" gun.
I finally got around to painting some parts for my 72 stepside ( bedsides ,rear fenders, tailgate & steps. This gun does work good on BC/CC paint...much better than the cheapo gun I was using. The trick is getting the correct air pressure...I first was using 30-32 psi as recommeded on "Youtube videos". after doing a lot of test spraying on scrap pcs. , I found 25psi to work great on both the base & clear that I am using....no runs at all and smooth finish ! It pays to experiment with your paint before diving in & getting bad results ! |
