Re: Hollywood Squares

All these cool trucks just coming out of the woodwork.

I looked for pictures of the opening of the movie Goonies since LEEVON is patterning his truck after one of them. Here are the only two shots I could find. Maybe he can point it out. Bottom left in the second picture maybe?

Oh yeah, Dazed & Confused. That was a goofy scene in The Goonies. A race?

Not one in particular but just the 80's "ORV" vibe. It's the only way my wife and son could relate the truck to the 80's.

Re: Hollywood Squares

Anyone built or thought about building a "Fall Guy" truck?

This is one I built. It's now in France. I'm building another one. It's going to Canada

I do. I own Kustom Cruzers. A collision repair/restoration shop. We did Smokey & the Bandit cars & truck. Now Fall Guy. Next we're doing some thing a little different.

I'll be seeing these guys in a few years for some resto work, about 20 miles from the farm

Re: Hollywood Squares

That Friday the 13th rig looks cool! Somehow, I like it when trucks are settled down right over the top of their big tires. Doesn't give you much room for the suspension to move though. And that Fall Guy recreation is a beautiful truck. I'm guessing that the two-tone, stripe, and trim didn't go on the tailgate because the truck they were copying from the show didn't have it? Regardless, that thing is amazing. And you do need suspension travel when you jump your truck, haha.

Re: Hollywood Squares

Yeah, I like the tires fitting into the openings a bit, too. Very few people with big tire 4wds actually use the full range of suspension travel. Lanky looks so unstable (and is).

That Fall Guy clone is sweet. Nice job!

Does anyone remember Howie’s truck from the Fall Guy? I think it was only in one episode.

Re: Hollywood Squares

If I remember right, he had just bought it, and Colt needed to borrow it and he trashed it in a single episode.

I thought that was a great movie...at the time. The bad guys had disabled the Blazer so he rolled it / drove it straight down the hill through the trees to intercept them at the bottom. I thought that was cool too...at the time. Now I would try to convince them to film it in an old explorer or expedition, haha.

Re: Hollywood Squares

I remember when those twin sunroofs came out. They had a light in the middle. I almost ordered one, but decided the best thing is one big opening. I got the biggest size made and it is removeable. I still have it, just dug it out. It hasn't been in a truck since '82
