I would think that pump should fuel that carb no problem.

That's the carb I'm running on my 455.

Loving this build. Really interested in how that rear swing arm set up is going to fare.

Re: Project "Popeye"

Yes, have been open for 3.5 weeks and average about 55 cars per week. I have two incredible technicians, each with 35 years experience and a service manager with 32 years, all with great attitudes. Driveability, diagnostics, programming...we have it all covered. Every box I opened with a new tool was like Christmas and I still don't know how to use half of it LOL. We are having a great time and quickly meeting goals. This has been over 3 years in the making.

The funny thing about having a fully-equipped shop is that after spending 70 hours there it is nearly impossible to find time and energy to work on your own stuff. I did get my '71 on the rack for a suspension rebuild, it took 2 weeks to find one single hour to do the tear down. But right now we're working Saturdays...which is temporary so when that's over I'll have more time to play. It's going to be awesome to just roll it a couple of bays over to my alignment rack. When Popeye gets assembled, I will bring it up to do the wiring and detail work.

Re: Project "Popeye"

$98/hr and going up soon. It's high-average but competitive.

I should mention, this venture is pretty much the entire reason that Popeye is not done yet.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Maybe someday the cab and front clip will meet again...until then...we make engine noises and play with the airbags.
