Thanks Rich! it is a very nice neighborhood! My neighbors are always curious as to what I'm doing in the garage too. They don't seem to mind too much that I can be pretty noisy at times

Re: My '59 Apache

Thanks y'all! As for what's next for the truck? My neighbor asked me that yesterday! Well I'm not finished for starters. I have glitches to work on, the bed install, tires(wheels if Gary will let me), just the little stuff, however, I think sometime I'd like to lower the front a little more, heck I don't know.
I'd like to really work on my garage and make it look like a showroom

Exhaust = Done!;)

A glorious day indeed! I put my earplugs in and drove to the bank to get money for the exhaust, then a banker that I know came out and looked at my truck~ always nice to showoff a bit, then over to the Affordable Mufflers where Mannie got to do his work! He also threw in the shocks which I hadn't ordered yet. He said the shocks were a gift! So, 500 bucks, it's over and done! Wow, I'm glad that's over with! It was also nice to do a walk under to check things out while way up on a lift!! The only thing noticeable was a drop of oil hanging from the transmission hole (engine oil) darn, it's not dripping while it runs, but it just hanging there depresses me

This pic is an illusion, as the exhaust is no where near the axle as the pic shows. This is exactly what I wanted, the tailpipes hidden to some degree.

Re: My '59 Apache

Denee007, That sounds really nice. Looks good too. I just want to say thank you for taking us all along for the ride of your build. From the first picture of the truck being loaded up to listening to the sound of the exhaust. I know that you have more to do to finish but the end is almost in sight. Great job.

Earl

Re: My '59 Apache

Thanks Tim and Orrie, the mufflers are Magnaflows.

Earl, the trip wouldn't be any fun without you guys! IT's like going to a movie with your best friend, looking at each other when something cool happens on the big screen, then you look at each other acknowledging the fun! Same goes here, we go along with our friends on a journey, trials and tribulations of restorations/restomods/ or just general truck stuff! Life is good! The journey inevitably and sadly comes to an end, and left with a feeling of "what do I do now?" Of course driving it is fun, but the restoration process is adrenaline and keeps the mind functioning and sharp, and we marvel at our own accomplishments with the only real ones that appreciate it, is here and maybe local car shows~ it's worth every second~! but I'd rather stay away from any more floor pans! lol

Magnaflows hey? I think I may have to look into them. I was going to use Flowmaster Super 44's but I kind of like the rumble that yours lets off

Working on the bed

This is the 3rd time I've had the wood in. I'm test fitting the placement for the little door. I bought the door from Speedway and a section of 1 1/2" fuel hose. The one pic shows a circle, and directly beneath it is the filler neck. Of course I need to cut out some of the wood! lol Darn it all, looks like I have to take the gas tank down to access the bolt/nuts! argh! luckily I put a little valve on my gas tank to drain it. As for the actual filler, I found something online at a boat store~ I'll post pics of it. also waiting for more bed parts. It looks nice so far!
