Once I get my steering column connection I can check my turn signals and brake lights. Plus I still need to finish the back up light switch install but I first have to extend those wires!

My wife and daughter thought it was so cool to see the lights on. Personally I was more concerned nothing happened when I turned the key except for the dash clock coming on, I at least thought I would get a click sound from the starter? Any suggestion guys? I have the purple wite connected to the (S) on the Starter solenoid. I don't have a neutral switch, so I'm thinking do I need to find those purple wires in the cab and jumper them together? I'm lost had to walk away again! lol!

Okay i have a painless kit. I really only saw one purple? But I was a little tired and needed to step away from it. I will look again tomorrow and see if I can figure it out. I'm a little confused. But I figured once I connected my column wires, it would shed some light on my predicament!

There should be two purple wires in the steering column harness that have been terminated with connectors. I think both female. They are meant to hook into the neutral safety switch on the column. You have to connect them if you're not running a neutral safety switch on the column.
You could take a simple test light and test each terminal as you twist the key. It should light the test light on one of them. Then you'll know that the key switch wiring is working and when you hook the two ends together it'll send power to the starter solenoid.

Bingo!!! That did it! I can hear the starter engage! Thanks bro! The other purple was tucked. I couldn't see it! I hope my column connection comes in today!

Very cool. By the way, I went by my local interstate battery and they had a bunch of the Optima battery adapters laying around. I ended up using one of the blue ones and the red hold down in order to get it all snug in a stock battery tray.

Yep.

Since they had a pile of leftover stuff from installing them they just gave them to me for free. I think the blue ones are designed to snap in "in pairs" for Ford battery applications. When I went to try the red single puck by itself, it was too tall so I used one of the blue tabs to take up some of the space (height). Maybe you can find some for free too.

Looks like a good fit for the former gas tank area. I think one would be an efficient sound, but for the look 2 would be better.

These are actually for a 2007-up Tundra. But he said they fit perfect for our trucks. I need to figure out how to repair my cut out dash. I wished I noticed that before I got my truck painted. How did I NOT see that! Sigh! Man! I want to put an authentic looking radio with upgraded technology. Is there anyone on the forum who makes custom CNC plates/frames to cover a butchered dash? I really don't want to put a newer model stereo in my dash...

Braided Nylon Hose and AN Fittings were delivered today. The fitting went on fairly easy. Hopefully I have no leaks. Now I need to measure and cut and add the the fitting that's spliced to the fuel filter.

Need to get an adapter fitting to go from the tank to the AN fitting. Can anyone tell me if I need to plug that other hole of make it a vent and if I need to make it a vent. What do I use? Do I use a check valve or add a hose and run it higher than the tank? Oh it's all mechanical, no electric fuel pump nor a fuel cell.
