I went with this one from Summit

Summit 380470

My uncle put the same one in his truck, and was really happy with the fitment, and the quality of it.

cool i had a griffin 3 core laying around that fit real well but no tranny cooler

Thanks Dennis. Yeah you would think someone getting a new camera for Christmas would take it out and snap some pics, but I always remember when I'm half way to my uncle's house.

I may have a line on a serpentine system. A guy I know has a friend that is changing motors out in his early 90's Chevy. He said I could prob get the bracketry and everything off either the old engine, or new one depending on which one the guy used. He said the new motor is out of a Buick Roadmaster. Does anyone know if that is a similar setup to the ones on the early 90's trucks?

I think the cars have different placement of the accessories, that might not be a bad thing though. It might tuck everything tighter to the engine.

Yeah the guy said that he may use his old accessories just so he doesn't have to buy new hoses and such for the power steering, and a/c. Since on mine I was going to do that anyway so no biggie. Like you the clearance issue was the biggest question, and actual workability of it.

Yeah that's the advantage of it being at my uncle's. His shop is heated and cooled.

Yeah I hear ya there. My garage is. Heated in the summer, and cooled in the winter. It's really a nice system, just the thermostat is broken.

Had mine on to pull the drive shaft on the crew, and its FREAKING cold out there!! Was out there 30min and im frozen

Just to let you know, Something I ran into when I installed my 89 caprice serp system on my Van engine with the truck style make sure you get the W/P and the crank pulley, And you will need a revers rotation W/P the serp ones spin the other way due to the belt routing.

That is almost signature material. I think I have the same thermostat though. Not like my truck knows that, it is still sitting out in the driveway. i really need to get this Biscayne cut up & put together and out of my garage.

I have the waterpump covered. Inverter hooked me up with one.

Did everything else work just fine with the car system?

My water line froze up last night. I had to get under the house and open it up to thaw it out. It was almost refreezing as fast as I could thaw it. I had to throw all my tricks at it. It was after midnight before I got done. I was not in good shape today at all and I think I got a little frostbite. Especially on the lips
