Re: John's Project

He went and changed shirts yesterday and when he took his shirt off, I was wondering how he'd managed to get sun burned in this weather, LMAO. Chest and face were solid red. Said it was freezer burn

When you get a chance come on down and get some heat tapes. That way you won't have to do it again.

That's nuts man! That is just one more reason why I don't like the cold!

on second thought... i'll leave it alone!
I'll tell you what my last one was.......... I took several blankets, baked them in the dryer for about a half hour and then I made a "tunnel" by doubling them up and draping them over the water line end to end and then I stuck the dryer exhuast hose at one end and used my heat gun at the other end to simulate summer like atmosphere around the pipes. About 45 mins later I got it.

It has heat tape on it now. Some idiots came by a month ago and installed a new water meter under the house that sends out a radio signal to tell them how many gallons have been used. They did a piss poor job insulating the meter and the surrounding pipe. I'm gonna make a scene about it. Watch your local news stations.

Yeah I had fun blowing the plastic out of the center U-joint after we installed the carrier bearing though. Sounded like a pistol going off!
