Hey Jason- I plan on installing a very similar A/C system, Vintage Air mark IV and wondering if it conflicts with the left side of the heater box or if you had to slide the unit left of center to compensate for the install. Could you post a few pic's of the location that you chose to mount it and any speed bumps I or any others might look out for? Thanks

You two have a great truck! I was just catching up on a couple of pages I missed on your build and I just wanted to say you saved me a search I hadn't really begun yet but is coming up in the future and that is the solution to your door panel problems. I figured there must be something out there but I haven't done any searching. That's what I enjoy on the forum is discovering things like this.
Anyway, thanks for saving me having to figure it out and have a sweet time with the truck.

I put the bushings in last night, (I went with Energy Suspension Polyurethane bushings) The bushings have a shoulder on them (stock does not) and they do a much better job keeping the trailing arm from twisting, (I don't know how long they will last but they are cheap and easy to change!!) and I now have the pinion angle at what looks to be close to zero (I did not have a chance to measure it), drove the truck last night and the crazy vibration is gone. I'm going to look around to see if I can find pinion shims for our trucks, I would like to at least have 2 degrees.
I picked up a 700R4 on the cheap so I'm keeping the 4.11s and gonna put the trans in, kind of a simple swap, her trans is a long tail shaft, I only have to move the crossmember back and a few simple other things, it puts the final drive at 2.88. I'll keep you guys posted. Jason |

The tail shaft and pinion should be no further apart than 2 degrees for vibe free driving
 I've run up to 4 on some other "hobby rigs" but 2-3 is best. You should be able to get in the ball park when you do the 700r4 swap. Just hang the degree finder off the tailshaft and shim as needed, but shimming the rear to get closer first like you are doing would be best. |

Awesome!! I think its really close now, I ordered the parts today to do the trany swap, so I'm going to measure everything after I put the 700 in. Hoping to do it sometime next week. She has a photo shoot with the truck Saturday!! I also ordered 66 Truck Plates today, and dropped it off at a lock smith so I can get door keys for her!!!

Ok. the photos are done, they are for our "Save The Date" for our wedding in June. She has most of the photos and is keeping them until they pick out the ones she wants to use!! In the mean time we have been crusing the truck, did a small car show Saturday and all around having fun with it. Parts will be here this week to do the trans swap, gonna try and get that done in the next few weeks!!! Here some pics from the weekend!!
