Would be REALLY sweet if the AC compressor and the alternator were black too!

Buck,
Tune that thing with EFi Live and never look back! I tune my 06 cummins with it.

That would be nice, but too costly for how often I would use it.

Short video of my wife driving the Old Truck. She and the boys were dragging some stuff from a house we bought to a friends house.

So cool to see it in motion!

Was that your wife honking the horn? If so, is it after market?

I like the way the wheels do that running backward visual effect as it accelerates. The horn in the background is someone else, mine is the factory horn.

You know, I thought she'd get on it a bit harder. I guess she didn't want to freak me out... but I was waiting for it.

Re: Project "Just an Old Truck"

Awesome video Buck, truck sounds great.

On a side note, I know you are thinking about swapping your Boyd tank for one setup for fuel injection but have you thought about keeping your tank and just addidng this kit from Aeromotive. It converts any tank or fuel cell to an in-tank fuel pump for fuel injection and supports up to 1000 hp. Looks like a nice system, I plan to use if I ever go fuel injected.

That is a nice set up, but my plan is sell what I have and buy another Boyd tank with the Aeromotive Stealth 340 pump installed. I figure my tank will work well for someone with a carb'd truck.

I think I'd rater build my wife an old ride, she wants something new and sporty. She really likes M3s but now that we have a little one she's been looking at a m-series x5 SUV. Oh Boy...

Re: Project "Just an Old Truck"

I've been cyphering on a plan to create a glove box/ecm mount in preparation for a A/C install in the future. I really liked how clean PortMod7's mega squirt fit in his glove box, but my factory ecm is too big for that so I needed something different but the same basic idea. I stopped by the local sheet metal shop after work and bought a couple of pieces to start trying some ideas. This is my first idea and I actually like it. Once I am finished making some brackets to add some support to the sides and mount the Classic Instruments interface I will paint it flat black. My plan is to put some sort of pouch in the center for my registration and insurance info. It's not finished, but what do you guys think so far?

Re: Project "Just an Old Truck"

I spent the day over at Hart_Rods place helping assemble the chassis for his son's truck. Porterbuilt makes some nice stuff! Anyway, Rob drove the truck up to the store to get refreshments and checkout the vibration I've been concerned with. He felt it but said it didn't seem too bad. On my way home I took a very short video of the gear selector vibrating. This is at 62mph, you can see the the vibe coming and going and it gets worse as you accelerate to 70 or so.
