Thinking about fuel lines. Does anyone see a problem running braided stainless steel line with -AN fittings from the sending unit (tank still in the cab) to the fuel pump (mechanical pump) . Then from the pump to the carb. There is be two filters in there also, before and after the pump.

I don't see a problem with it. However, it's just like running rubber hose, but it has an outer armor on it. Meaning: You'll have to change them out as a disposable part once in a while. And it's a lot harder to see the hose fatigue over time because of the braid.

I'm currently running nylon braided fuel line from the tank to the carb (obviously with filters and pump in between). It works fine and looks good, but it's still only temporary.

Thanks for the insight. If the truck was a daily driver hardlines would be a must. However, this truck is a weekend warrior.

That being said, I'm going to need to practice bending metal lines for the brakes anyway, So I should consider bending them for the fuel lines, also.

There's no problem with that, but that aluminum line I sent, bent right will be better and easier. I could also send Swagelock compression fittings to fit all of it.

The piece was already flared. But I figured I try bending a scrap piece just to see how it went

Guy running Dropmembers and disks in the front ( I have CPP 13" rotors in the front). What are you using for brake hose kits from the caliper to the frame? (size, length, etc) CPP has a 7/6" and a 10mm stainless braided kit, but was wondering if I should get the 12" or 14" length.
