Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread

Finally have picts of the junk yard finds. Very solid trucks. Rocker boxes are solid underneath, both just have rusted through rockers but I pried it up to look inside and it's just surface scale inside. Beds are really solid as are window seals. I'm buying the blue one, got him talked down to 800. The green one is missing axles, but he said he had them somewhere. I'm still trying to work out a deal on that one. I think he'd go 500 without axles, and 800 with. He's delivering mine for 50 bucks 150 miles!

Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread

Depends on what you want to do with it. No reason to have a true 2wd if you're going to cut the frame for bags and c-notches. You're probably looking at another $6K - $10 to finish the red one.

Personally, I'd spend the $15K on this one http://nashville.craigslist.org/cto/2362599492.html and then drop it down with some new wheels.

I like the blue one because you can make it exactly the way you want. I'd get this red one instead of the one in Nashville..http://www.autotraderclassics.com/cl...ationId=104494

I'd like to see that one without all the photoshop work to see what it truly looks like.

I think the column color is correct being the saddle color of the interior (note dashpad and seats).

That one in Nashville has been off and on for A LONG time. That seems a bit high to me, but I could be wrong.

Yea, I've never seen that one before. If it's at Goodguys next week I'll get a few shots of it.

I figured you would chime in sooner or later...

How is the blazer doing BTW? Still one of my favorites and one I wouldn't mind parking in my garage **hint, hint**.

Excuse my ignorance. i"m a new guy to the site. Like most of us, I have caviar taste with a burger king budget. I'm looking for a solid project that would need drivetrain and interior, preferrably not a rust bucket.
