Thanks man, the new spring actually moved the front end up almost two inches, will have to see a little later when its all assembly how i like it. Next is rear fenders and running boards. I'll do the electrical next week. I'm also trying to finish the interior of the Belair, new seat cover, carpet and headliner but have to finish fixing the floor first. We're taking the Belair to Back to the 50's next week.

oh that's right, I forgot about your road trip. That's gotta be an incredible feeling, to drive a car from the 50's to the Back to the 50's show.

Have fun and be sure to bring back lots of pictures.

Back to the 50s was great, weather wasn't the best there were really bad thunder storm at night so we got a little damp in the tent trailer. Friday night the wind was so strong it moved the trailer about 4 feet back. The Belair drove really good, a little slow but got there and back with only one minor issue. The generator brushes went about 2 hrs outside Minneapolis, swap with a spare one i had with me after we got there. Over 12000 cars registered.

Not to much, been doing the wiring the last week or so, lots of fun there. I'll try to post some pictures tonight. A couple of great things hapenning in my life in the last month, i became a grand dad for the first time, my youngest daugther had a beautifull baby girl and my girl friend moved in with me so not to much time spend on the truck lately. I'm going to redo the back window seal tomorrow night, i don't like the way the seal fits the cab window opening. The seal i had is very narrow (3/4") the new seal at pickup last week is 1" wide will keep that big back window in place a lot better.

Nice to see you progressing again bud

Re: 55 2nd serie GMC

No pictures to post right now but some progress was done. Finish the wiring last week, with only a couple of minor changes to this after market wiring harness i bought years ago its when in really well. I'm not sure why but this harness had dome light and hazard light working on ignition power witch would have been kind of silly to have to leave the key on to turn on the hazard lights. Next is the upholstery, material has been order should be going to the upholstery shop in a week or two.

Re: 55 2nd serie GMC

Here is a little project i just pick up to fill up my free time , 1955 Chevy long box big back window. It belongs to a friend of mine, has been siting out in the weather for about 20 years, got to make it run again. First ti
hing was to replace the front tires and free up the brakes.

Yes just getting it running for my friend, not mine to keep. Its says 1300 on the front fender scripts , i think that mines 1/2 ton.

Working on designing the console tonight with my friend, working with card board is perfect. Little bit more tuning tomorrow and we should be good for the real thing.

Re: 55 2nd serie GMC

Spend all day working on the truck today, got some good progress done. Got the park brake sorted out, fine tune the console, did more wiring, the doors are on and got the truck outside for a spin around the yard.
