Re: Patina, shop logo'd, rusty trucks?

Here's a question if I do a rusto mod would it be odd to have a nice clean interior painted nice, nice seats, carpet, the wife wants the truck comfortable, also I have plans for nice engine and bay and nice wheels

I actually like them that way. I like a clean interior with a nice set of wheels on a rust or patina outside. You could do some light patina with the interior paint but just a hint of it so it flows into te exterior.

Re: Patina, shop logo'd, rusty trucks?

Here is my little parts chaser. It's an original '68 Custom with a 307/three on the tree and 330,000 miles on it according to the previous owner. It's got all the original rust in the cab and bed and most of the original dirt dobbers nests on it. Future plans are to install the original 350 engine from my Corvette and a 5 speed from a late model truck, add front disc brakes, patch up the holes in the cab floor and dress up the interior. Then, I can haul my buddy Ace (the German Shepherd in the back) around in RotRod style.

Ain't old pickup trucks fun?

Jon

Lots of looks and I love it, but I'm the only one, you will always see plenty of of 47-59's at the car shows but 67-72's are as rare as Rocking Horse S**t here.
