That green '76 is a gem! I wouldn't do anything to it except drive it. Great looking truck.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

Hi all!
I'm new to the site and thought I'd make my first post a picture of my 77.
I've been looking for a nice truck for a long time and finally purchased this one Friday.
It's a 1977 Silverado short bed.
Only 35,780 actual miles and all stock except for the slimline bed cover.

I know and understand that thoses slim line toppers are made in Conover, NC! Because Im from hickory, but I was traveling the back roads of south Ga and saw one on a truck thats been sitting since 1996 when I first got here! But They won't sale it! Those was the thing back in the day and I want one, because of the memories!!

His first pic says it's 3 inch spindles, 2 inch springs and a flip. So prolly be a 5/5 ish or so.

You're right, I missed that part. I was drooling over the trucks that I didn't even read what he said.

Here's a pic of my '83 is just purchased. Got plans to lower it with black wall tires out and swap to a sport rear bumper. Loved these trucks since I was in high school.

Good looking truck. I've had two that same color style. One in high school, and one a few years back.
