Did you have a chance to change your 1" spacer for the 1/4" spacer. I would like to see how that worked out for you, and how your wheel currently sits in the wheel well. Your running 20x10's in the rear right? I just recently switched my truck to a stepside and I'm trying to figure out my rear wheel situation.

I have not switch the spacers yet. but here are some pictures of the rear end with a 1" spacers. May be a week or two till I have a chance to switch the spacer.

Thanks for the pics, looks like you have a good 1"-1.5" from the tire to the bedside. Will be interesting to see where you are at after you change the spacer.

It was a nice day outside today. So I pulled the truck, removed the rear tyres and changed the spacer. It worked out great, I have about an inch between the tyre and the inner bed side, but I may have to get longer wheel studs to give the lug nuts some more grip. I cant remember if it tried the fit without any spacer. So I may give that try.

Yes and No.......

Progress on the house nothing on Lemon Drop

Sometimes you have to take a break and check the Boss happy. My wife has wanted to front yard landscaped since we moved in 5 years ago. We found a great contractor to take on the job and it turned out great. We still have some plants to choose to finish the effect. To make things worst my daily driver (which was paid for) blew up, so I had to buy a new car.

Yes, but its not a good one. I went into the garage the other day and noticed that the piece of cardboard I kept under the truck was soaking wet. Upon closer inspection it turned out to be transmission fluid. So I started the truck, pulled it out of the garage and noticed that there was no transmission pressure on the gauge. I crawled under the truck and saw that the front and rear seals of the transmission were leaking.

I have future plans of pulling the trans to take it to the shop for repair. Other than that no updates.

My neighbor (an original owner of truck pictured below), came by to help me with Lemondrop. Upon further inspection of the transmission, we found that it was not the front and rear seal leaking (GOOD NEWS). It was just the transmission pan gasket. So we pulled the pan to replace the gasket. If you look closely at the picture of the pan you will see that the transmission fluid is full of medal shavings. For to much for a transmission that has 88 miles on it (BAD NEWS). We will still need to pull the transmission for a rebuild.

Just for the heck of things I pulled the dip-stick and saw that the oil was an olive green color and smelled of gas. So we drained the oil (or oil/gas mixture) which instead of 5 quarts was about 8. Since the carb has been changed already and the engine still had the stalling, running rough problem we believe it is the fuel pump malfunctioning and continually dumping fuel into the engine. There was oil coming out of the spark plug holes. Edelbrock does not make the fuel pump that I have or a rebuild kit for it, so I need to get a new on. Fingers crossed that will fix the stalling, running rough problem and hopefully the very lean engine oil did not cause any damage to the internals of the engine.

I think what you see in the pan is normal for a new trans during break in. I would clean the pan and change filter and top off the trans and drive it for a while. Oil will glisten with particles due to break. I have done a lot of these t-350 and unless you have a performance problem I think you good. As far as your fuel pump goes It also sounds like your needle and seat leaking allowing the fuel to flood the carb, do you have fuel pressure5-7 lbs ?. If you disconnect the fuel line to carb and plug it does the engine run smoother until it dies?

I don't want to step on any toes but it sounds like you need to get some help/advice before you spend money chasing what could be possibly simple tune up adjustments.

I cant remember what the psi of the fuel pump is or find the paperwork for it. For some reason I want to a it as a higher volume pump, but I'm not sure. The trans I have is a 700r4, so I'm not sure if the break in would be different than a t-350. I attached a couple more pics of the transmission pan and debris in the fluid.

The needle and seat thing was something we also discussed, but thought that since it was doing the same thing before I changed to carb to the one that is on the engine now, it may be the fuel pump.

As far as you input, I'm happy to have it. That's why I posted the recent dilemma. I'm very much a novice when it comes to engine and transmission service.

Windsor is a great little town. I'm had to go there a few times for work.

Seeing your pictures makes me think your TCC (700r) cable isn't set up to the proper throw causing some unnecessary slip. That might be the cause of excess clutch debris in he pan but its not unusual to have some because the initial break in (wear in) will create some excess.
Your pump could be a High volume with it designed to supply more fuel but not pressure unlike a high pressure pump which will deliver 12psi. If you have a high pressure pump with out a regulator it will not let the needle/seat seal and flood the engine which is your symptoms.
