Been a while since I checked in - all the details you've been working on/adding while waiting on the motor look nice! Good to hear you got the motor fired up with no issues. What cam are you running now? I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that the tranny goes in with no problems - you'll be washing vaporized rubber out of your rear wheelwells before long!

Thanks Adam, my buddy talked to Lunati with all the details of how my truck is set up, what I use it for and all the other details and they decided on the Lunati Voodoo roller cam part # 20110711LK, it has .575 lift. It's defiantly not as radical as it was before!!! As far as the rubber in the wheel wells, I should probably take it easy for a while this time and and let it break in

That's a fine looking bullet and will look even better in between the frame rails! Almost time for those break-in butterflies.

I hope to have it settin between the frame rails by tomorrow. I have a little plumbing to finish up this evening on the new Wilwood master cylinder while I have room without the engine in. You're right about the butterflies, I sure hope everything is right this time

It's in and bolted up, I'm going to bed now. I'll start hooking the wiring up and double checking everything in the morning.

I know what your saying. I thought about pulling an all nighter so I could fire it up in the morning but I talked myself out of it. I'll just dream about it

Well one step closer and some time away helps all the other ideas and plans come to light, 427 SS, like the sound of that. Lucky guy.

I'll have to look through my receipts, he was a vendor on here.

Here's the aluminum fan shroud I made yesterday, this should make it run a little cooler than was before

Re: Jason's 70 Big Block SWB Project

Well now that I have "go" power, I have no"stop" power!!!!!
The only thing I changed on the brake system is the master cylinder and booster. It's a Wilwood m/c and today we bled brakes for 2 hours and I have nothing, pedal still goes to the floor.... Anybody have this issue before???

Nice work Jason! Sounds like you need to adjust the brake pedal rod a little that goes to master cylinder. Should be a easy fix.

Thanks Scott, I'll take a look at that tommorrow, I took a break from it this evening. Thursday and Friday were some long days getting everything ready to put it back together....

The system is moving some fluid but it don't seem like very much, we bled for about 2 hours and the pedal never got firm.

Had a similar issue make sure bleeder screw on caliper is at top of caliper not bottom. My buddy did this and could never get a good pedal. He swapped calipers side to side and was corrected.

The bleeders are on top, I checked that during the "head scratching" today. The thing is it worked fine till I changed the m/c and booster. The calipers and drums on the rear have not been messed with that's what I'm not understanding. Like Scott said above, if the rod is not pushing the piston in far enough that makes sense. It just don't seem like it squirts the fluid as hard as it should.

Unbold master from booster and push on pedal see how far pedal moves before it makes contact with master cylinder piston.

Thanks, I'm going to check that today. That seems to make sense, the master and booster came disassembled so maybe the rod is not the right length.

Did you bleed the M/C first? If air is trapped in the pistons it can act like you describe.
