Re: Any home made car trailers here?

Imacarguytoo,

A general rule of thumb for a car trailer is the tongue be about 42-48 inches long and the axles be 60/40 biased under the main bed of the trailer. That making the axles slightly rear of center.

This give a good towing and backing trailer for most general tasks.

It has an electric hydraulic power pack, so tilting the trailer up takes about 10 seconds of pushing a button. Load up and then hydraulic power down takes another 10 seconds. Tie down and go!

Check your local laws on trailers, tow rigs and combinations before you buy or build/register a trailer with a GVW over 10,000. A lot of states have laws that require special endorcements for trailers over 10K. (commercial or not)
