Has anybody bought a set(paid for a set through this group buy) yet?
Anyone else getting an error dialog box pop up when trying to check out?

Sublvr72, Please check.. I sent you a pm about this.

If I can pay for these today, what would be the eta for shipping to the SF bay area?

I want these on asap so I can roll to the Goodguy's car show next weekend and hopefully be the only burb there with them.

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**

VERY interested in this group buy. I was planning on running 20" Dodge steelies but this deal is just too good to pass up!

Add my name to the list - (2)20x8.5 and (2)20x10 Grey Centers.

1. How many offsets are available and which is optimal for our trucks?
3. How do we make payment? checkout is not working

Might want to wait until Monday. He was going to check the actual shipping costs with AEW then, so things may not be 100% right with the online ordering system yet.

You don't have any real choices in offset -- decide on the diameter and width you want and that's it. From what I've read, the 8.5" width in either the 18" or 20" rims is right for the front (or all four corners) while the 18x9.5" or 20x10" is right for the rear with the addition of spacers, depending on your application. I could be wrong; this is just based on what I've read and not any firsthand experience.

See above for answers to both questions.

Only one offset.
5.25" BS up front
6.225" BS rear.
I assume almost everyone will have to use some type of spacer on the rear. (on the 67-72 trucks) Also the 67-70 and 71-72 will require different spacers due to the different rearend width.

You guys crack me up. Ha.

I have some "Boss 338 Snakeoil" for sale. Anybody interested? Ha.

Actually, good luck with this group buy.
I'm just afraid some people will be disappointed if there is fitment problems.
Also,... who's responsible if there is damage during shipping? AEW?

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**

Wow... a bunch of you guys are hot for these things.

What about the rear back-spacing for the 20's? Is everyone considering the cost of the adapters you'll need to run the 20x10's on the 6x-87 GM trucks (the wheels have seemingly correct offset for 88-98's, but not the pre-88's)? The 18x9.5's BS looks about right; too bad they don't offer the same BS in the 20x10's.

My 68 w/the stock 68 12-bolt could use 5-5.50" back-spacing. I installed 5.50"BS wheels that required mini-tubbing the bed floor. Add an additional .725" & it would only be worse. The use of a wider 71-72 rear might work better here but I'm not sure how much clearance would be there.....

The 5.50"BS was about the max I could use on my 74 (w/stock 74 12-bolt). Again, any more back-spacing would require mini-tubbing. There might be a slight chance they'd fit but it would be close.

Man, what a great deal! If I had something to put them on, I'd be all over it. I'd almost pick up a set for some to be determined ride in the future. I paid WAY WAY more for my wheels....duh!

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**

What about a illustration showing how the 20x10 will fit on the rear of the trucks. Whether it be a 67-70 or 71-72. Something showing how much wheel will be inside, and how much lip will be on the outside. Can someone draw this up?

Do these wheels have too much back space, if you have air suspension? I have bags on my trailing arms and bags in the front

Yes,... if you are running 20's on the rear.
Spacers will be required with a stock rearend on the 67-72 and 73-87 trucks.
The 88-98 trucks will be fine.

Sorry for all the questions, but I just want to make sure they will fit the look I'm after before I buy them.

With the spacer on the rear will the tires and wheels still fit inside the wheel wells?

on one of the pages someone mentioned that they used 1 inch spacers on a 20 inch wheel.

that's the thing about these trucks I am conveting from the 6 lug on a 68 to the 5 lug just because the wheels I had priced out were 3500 bucks for a simular wheel as these no tires just bolt on and go I really don't like spacers but you have to do what you have to do

Most people running Coys 20x10's have a choice of 5" or 5.5" backspace. These wheels have a 6.225" backspace. Get out your tape measures and check out your trucks for yourself.
No offense, but what's with people wanting to drop hundreds of dollars on rims without even knowing what backspacing they need? Wheels aren't like deodorant where you can just grab whichever one looks most attractive on the shelf.

Exactly. If you want Coy-like options, you pay Coy-like prices. This deal is for wholesale cost on wheels that are already amazingly inexpensive. Don't like it? Move on.
