OMg, I love the Suzuki Samurai! I was even kind of telling Dave Chapman just the other day~ I'd like something small like a Samurai to "restore"! I love it! Nice Toy!

Re: Sidetracked! What other projects are you working on? Pics!

Thanks! They are fun! But I just keep trying to make them bigger and badder. Now the mudder is stripped down and retired from mud and headed for a life as a crawler with 44" tires coil overs all the way around and a 4.8 chevy two duel Toyota cases and 1 tons! But I got the old truck bug so it went back out side for now even with the pile of parts laying around for it. And heres the final resting spot for my old DD. Yard art at shop!

Re: Sidetracked! What other projects are you working on? Pics!

I miss wyoming, I had a SAS toyota when I lived up there, Definitely great crawling areas there! Unfortunatley selling the rig funded my move back to Texas.
Everyone else seems to have cool projects also!

Jemo, We have a mini cooper in my shop now that has the honda engine swap. We are finishing up the radiator mounting and fan install and making the flip up front end more flip up. It is a screamer!!

Hey Coach, did you sell one of these to someone in Arkansas? My wife just sent me a pic of one just like yours made from a Chevy stepside tailgate that she saw in an antique store she was checking out.
Dude wanted $135 if you're interested.

The benches are cool. Looks like they might be more confortable if the tailgate was turned around, but then wouldn't be as cool.

BTW, I don't think I would build one for the price mentioned by OC.

I thought it was a pretty reasonable price. Just didn't have that much in the shop budget this month for something like that. Told her if she wanted to buy it with house funds we could keep it at the house until she got tired of it and then take it to the shop. That didn't fly.
I tell you the woman has no sense of humor.

To come back on topic, my other addictions:

Re: Sidetracked! What other projects are you working on? Pics!

1950's I have always loved the starion turbo's. I fell in love with those cars when I used to work at a little turbo shop called Forced Performance. A customer of ours had a really crazy one. Very cool!

Old Crow, My dad just got a new Harley trike a few months ago. He has been nagging me to get a bike again but my wife demands new floors and windows in the house first. lol

Wheelie, the one with the ape's is my wife's bike. She was making some noise about new floors in the laundry room until I pointed out that the time changes next weekend and her bike needs a new front tire.

OC, She must be a pretty cool lady if you have His-and-Hers Harleys.

WE argue about who started riding first. She says, "I started when I was 10, you didn't start until you were 15".
I say, "Dear, I'm 5 years older than you...we both started the same time".

My other toys are 2 Jeep YJ's and a '61 F-100.

Yes, 23 years as a GM tech and the only GM product I own is an '88 Sportscoach motorhome.
Having a great time building this '58 stepside at work, though.

Helping my dad with his 55. This thing hasn't seen the daylight in 25 years and hasn't seen the road since 1981. The body man took the fenders to get fix.

Wowsers! "Sorry, traction not available with GN drivetrain option." Must be pretty fun to zip around in, though.

Re: Sidetracked! What other projects are you working on? Pics!

My side track is being a paint slinger. It's what consumes most of my "free" time. It also helps funds the extra's like vacations, tattoos and truck parts.

I've been doing custom paint since 2004 on and off as a hobby. It kinda turned into more of addiction than anything
