man this job took awile to get all the weather striping out, and remove some of the rivets, i hand sanded eveything then used etching primer ,then primer sealer and mixed up some gloss black and shot two coats on it ,now it will sit for awile until i get the weather strip and glass thanks steve

Wow looks brand new! May I ask how does the process go( sand first with three grits then polish?) and what grit paper do you use??or tips on doing it....

Started with washing with soap and water then sprayed oven cleaner with sodium hydroxide in it let sit for 15 min washed off then done it one more time.started wet sanding with 320 /600/1000/2000 then hand polished with mothers until it shined and polished some more .this took me about 14 hours in all

What do you plan to do to preserve the shine. The aluminum will dull and corrode won't it?

Thanks for the direction Woogeroo, I will certainly make the time to look at those vids now that I have his page saved to my faves folder.

As far as any of my vidoes go, they are better suited for Saturday mornings between cartoons...
None the less, I have them all hyper linked on page 1 of my build if anyone wants to scope them out.
