Re: Cherubs 82 build

What did you get the LS motor from? Also once you got it running did you have the MAF and the O2's hooked up? I would love to get a LS6 in my truck but that would be years from now unless the engine I put in blows. HHMMMM....

The motor came from a 2003 hd2500. It has the LQ4 designation. I went with this motor cause it was the biggest bang for the buck. With alot of performance parts available. Yea all the sensors are hooked up minus the cats. I had all the emissions stuff deleted from the ECM.

I need to get somepics of the engine bay.

Man that sounds mean!!! It's coming along nicely! You may want to check your gas tank though. Your gauge is WAY low! J/K What exhaust are you going with?

The gauges arnt pinned correctly so they are not working at this time.
She is visually back together but still needs a few hours of finishing.

The seats i purchased (96 rear tahoe) didnt work. At a glance i thought they would but when i got them home it was totally all wrong with the flip up seats that the tahoe have.

Re: Cherubs 82 build

purchased some Coys for my baby but the polished finish wasnt all that great so i sold them and im going to try a different color Coys grey with polished lip

This is what the interior looks like right now. The truck was purchased with a Polyurethane dash. We all know the fit ment on those arnt all that great. So that came out and i need to order something else along with door panels, gauge panels, seat cover and seat belts.

But this is the whats next on the chopping block before all the interior gets ordered and goes in. Since im no body guy with no tools, im going to have to find someone that can patch these first. both passenger and driver side has these.

You will have to source a sending unit from an 87 and up truck (GM 25090846). Combine that with an AC Delco EP 241 fuel pump. Then it will drop right into your existing tank.

Re: Cherubs 82 build

She is running really good. I couldnt be more happy with the performance. The only problem now is getting traction and keeping my foot out of it. Ive been driving it to work everyday and besides the hot ride home(no a/c) i couldnt have any complaints.

Yeah I couldn't imagine having no A/C in Houston. My brother lives down there and you talk about humid!

Glad it's all going good man! I would love to see it. Do you have any pics of it all done?
