Re: my gmc 2500
i CAN GET A PIC OF THE REAR AXLE, AND IT looks like a locker of some sort. When you spin one tire the other goes the same way unlike a posi.

Re: my gmc 2500
Painted good enough for me will get redone later, after i finish my other truck. It will get a different bed, maybe a flatbed. Fenders, weld the holes in the doors, everything done nice, after i have my other truck done so this one will just tow it. Working on getting a different motor, for this and my other one. I want a bbc, or 383, 400 in both, i want more power.
forgot the pics

Re: my gmc 2500
Alright some progress was made today, got the motor mounts replaced, and a thing weld too each side to keep the mount brackets in place.
Tomarrow we will be putting the master cylinder in, lightbar, which should help if we happen to roll it next weekend, and some spot lights for night wheeling in the dunes. I will be wiring a stereo up too.

Re: my gmc 2500
Put the master in then my dad now drives it faster, and leaves harder, if we didn't have the 14 bolt in the bed we would spin pretty good. Bought some lights and started instaling the stereo from the exploder which was put on its side while ago we still have it just need to replace the front end. Got the stereo ready so we run and hook up wires tomarrow and then a radio, the lights will be put on tomarow, just on the stock bumper. We will most likey change the oil tomarrow, or at least before we go this weekend. The stereo and light would have been done today but we went to a friends and he wanted a piece of tubing for a side bar,we went home started cutting the gave up bought to his house, finished cuting then my dad started welding and ended up welding for a few hours. At least something got done, even though it wasn't my truck.

Re: my gmc 2500
Went to pismo, the tow rig got stuck then we pulled my truck off the trail and it got stuck 2 wheel drive, front wasn't working, Had a friend pull my truck and the tow rig out then got to camp. Saturday morning then campers near us battery was dead so we tried to help them when repositing I got stuck down to the bumper.
You can see our camp in the back ground, but we got out and my dad pulled off the hub caps(the lockout twister) and took out a spring and forced the ear on so, we would have 4 wheel drive it, worked and i didn't get stuck the rest of the weekend, but I tried the uge hill in the back and made it all the way till the front tires where up then it sunk so i backed down. Then the yellow k10 had fuel pump issues so i was pulling them back second high, catching some air too with them hooked to my bumper made it half back to camp then the bumper ripped off. He made it another 1/4 back and ran out of gas, so we were at camp then he got a new pum and i rode in a friends sand rail and we went on a little ride. Then sunday I was following the quad in the group trying to find someone esle in our group. We went to check if he made it back to camp then, his uncle showed up and I went with him in a sand rail, we found him and wented back to pick up their dually, then picked him and his bike up he broke the front driveline onb the way back to camp and got stuck, we walked back to camp picked up my truck and the yellow k10, the daully got unstuck he made it a little ways back ten got stuck twice, so I pulled him back to the beach, unhooked, and then they got stuck again, and i finally dragged him along the beach to camp, lots of people taking pics.

Re: my gmc 2500
My truck stayed like that till the end of the day, and then a van was stuck and a surburban died in our group so i dragged the dually to the beack unhooked, went to help the van and burb, the burb got started and unstuck, then the blue k10 on a blazer frame pulled the van out, and during that time the yeloow k10 got stuck and he decided to keep holding the gas till it was on the rear axle, forgot to mention he broke the front end earlier. I pulled him out then he tried to get stuck again because everyone was already watching so i pulled him out again.
It was time to load up, so i took poser shots, while everyone was loading up because our tow rig wouldn't have made it to the street with my truck on it, then i drove to the street and we drove home, i think i have some more pics and a few vids i will post later. My dads a horrible camera man.

Re: my gmc 2500
I thought i would update this a little. Went wheeling Sunday, went straight to the bog and made it 3 times and the last time I just backed in So I wouldn't have to do through the drop. Made it half way basicly cruising in reverse and then the truck died. Assumed water in points or something to that nature so we tried starting fluid didn't work so we got pulled onto our trailor. Got home and then had a friend pull us off the trailor. Then to day we changed the points and condenstor. It fired and ran, not the best but moved so we decided to drive it when we went to change a starter. It kept stumbling, would be fine when rev'ed up for a second. We got the starter off and went to autozone then it wouldn't start. Lucky a friend showed up and drove us home we then changed the coil and still wouldn't start so we pulled it home. Tomorrow I think the plan is to finish changing the starter which wasn't completed today. And then change the dist. on this.
Too make it clear the starter is on a family members car. Not this.

Re: my gmc 2500
Well we didn't get to put the winch on so we will put it on the other truck. This has a bad misfire, so we didn't get to wheel. I'm pretty sure we are going to put a 454 in this.

Re: my gmc 2500
The other truck, we planned for this one to have it but the spring rates for the front coilovers we didn't know for a small block. We didn't want to guess at 90 buck a piece, so ordered based off a similar truck with a 454.
This needs something but at this point it will sit until the other trucks done. But once we are done with the yellow truck or get stuck waiting for parts, we will fix the suburban too see if it passes smog. Then the black truck.

Re: my gmc 2500
Get it running, so we can park it on the street. If it doesn't pass smog then, cut it up, and part it. Maybe if the yellow trucks done and it doesn't pass we will start making the crewcab 72 I want to try and build. Basicly I want to rebuild the yellow truck on its frame with a different cab, With a better plan and a closed cab 4 seat, or Two racing seats up front and a bench in the back prefered, so I don't have to sleep in a tent when camping. And fixing the problems we have run into, by making the front of the back half wider, and a spot for a battery on each side of the fuel cell. The back of the backhalf a 1in wider on both sides. Just a better designed, bigger and longer version of the yellow truck.
Using everything from the yellow truck but the frame and cab.
