Re: more than one?
Just 3 for me.
Both my 1972 Chevy stepside 1/2 ton 2wd and my 1975 Pontiac Bonneville came from my parents. Dad bought the truck new and gave it to me at age 21 for not doing any sin habits (drinking, smoking, dipping, or doping). I still don't do those things. I also got the Pontiac: dad took over the payments in 1976 when my uncle (who bought it new) died during cataract surgery. The Pontiac is a DREAM to drive and so is the truck. Both are up on blocks until I get them fixed. The third is a 1976 Granville I bought for $100.00 in a NC junkyard. I got if for parts.....it was in terrible shape which is said since it had more options than my Bonneville. During my quest to find the keys, I happened to meet the original owner and he was indeed, a very sad and pathetic man, which I figured he'd have had to be to treat such a wonderful car so badly. I'll probably have it crushed this summer as it's in the way...I'll try to pull the last of useful parts from her. *It has a 400 V8 and I might try to get that out in case I ever need one. |

Re: more than one?
All I can say is dessicant......lots and lots of dessicant. Put them everywhere (engine bay, bed, corners, under seat, etc) Take pictures of the dessicant installed/placed and put the pictures in the glovebox. Best way to fix rust is to prevent it. You can get one pound bags of dessicant almost anywhere.

Re: more than one?
I've been told by friends that it's ok to have multiple as long as your "hospital ratio" is above 50% The Hospital Ratio : total count of cars divided by how many of them could you jump in & get to the hospital with minimal work/effort if you were missing an arm or losing a lot of blood. Basically running, streetable cars divided from your total fleet. With several projects, I'm always hovering around 70% |

Re: more than one?
I have these three, plus the 71 swb that has the cab off the frame right now. The frame has been sandblasted and por15. Drop spindles and flipped rear. FI engine and 4L80 trans. Cab is about 95% ready to paint. However 6 grandchildren and a very jealous lawn mower have slowed my progress.

Re: more than one?
A couple too many... Besides my collection I recently inherated half of my Dad's collection. Currently only one 67-72 and I'm lucky enough to have indoor srtorage for everything but I really need to thin the herd. There's 13 fun cars and 2 modern cars plus my 73 P30 flatbed for seasonal/harvest work. I think I'd be happier with about 5 of them going down the road but I'd like a 71/72 pickup so the count goes up again!
