I'm not sure on advantages, i just liked the look of keeping most of the stuff inside the frame rails.

But if you emailed Nate @ Porterbuilt street rods he will give you some good info. I know it will lay out up to a 31" tire out back.

Dude don't tell me that about the crossmember. I have to do mine this weekend and I'm doing it on a burb body on frame.

Sorry man. What worked for me is i grinded the 4 rivets from the inside not the top. Then used the air hammer to seperate the crossmember from the frame by inserting the chisel bit between the frame and crossmember. Once i got all the lowers and the whole crossmember out i went back and grinded the top rivets flush with the frame and punched them threw the top with the air hammer punch bit. never had to go on top of the frame.

Incredible build, I like the way you're doing a combination of satin black and silver. It really sets it off and looks superb.

Dude very nice. Can you do me a favor and measure the rear frame height? Bottom of the frame to the ground, were the gas tank goes. I want to get a tank ordered now while I wait for my on parts. Thanks

Sure thing, it looks like 6" at the front and 6.75" at the rear

You answered a previous post about what you painted the silver with... how about the frame? What you spray that down with?

Same stuff in Flat Black. Took it down to bare metal then primed it then shot on the flat black.
