Re: SWB budget frame off- East Tx Squares style

***UPDATE***

I went on another junkyard crawl today and came home with 2 8 inch rallys with some kumho 275/60s for the rear of my truck, paid $19.50 apiece for them!

I also pulled all the accesories off my bagged truck and got them painted up and installed them, along with new new alternator and radiator, It is really close to driving now.

not bad for 40$

30 minutes of cleaning and a can of spraypaint. (using my high tech spraybooth )

Today I realized that this truck has been built out of nothing but everyone elses thrown away parts, I need to change the title to reflect that. How do I?

I also added up a few things the other day, and heres how I stand in this truck now..

bought stepside -500$
sold motor +400$
sold wheels +100$
sold bed +200$

So just with that Im up 200$, I then bought a parts truck for 50$ that I got the motor and rear end from, and bought the bagged parts truck for 300$ that has a new alternator, water pump, radiator, hoses, fan clutch, and all new a/c. I basically have everything to make it a running and driving truck, for very little money.

LMFAO !!!! The only way your truck is going to reach 88 mph with a junky 305 and 2:76 gears is if I push off a cliff, but only if it gets a running start

Re: SWB budget frame off- East Tx Squares style

I did a little exhaust work today, true dual 2 1/4 pipe with 18 inch glasspacks and 5 inch tips dumped, not bad for a bunch of scrap exhaust pipe.

had to do some creative angles

got one side set up how I wanted,

me like!

Dont worry, the tips arent that crooked, that was before I welded the other side and I was too excited to hear it I didnt take a finished pic.

overall Im happy, it has a deep throaty sound with no popping, and after I put the bed back on the tips should be barely visible

Re: SWB budget frame off- East Tx Squares style

I fixed my brakes and drove my Swb down the road, I must say the truck is quite peppy!

I also found out my th350 has a nice shift kit, it feels strong!

Can you put up some pics from the rear of your exhaust tips once you have the bumper on? Thanks!
