Re: Parting a complete 1971 Blazer 4x4

Yeah, I wish! I don't own a car trailer. I am just going to take my utility trailer up and haul back everything I can.

I'd be interested in the front and rear bumpers, with brackets and the license plates (I collect them).

Re: Parting a complete 1971 Blazer 4x4

For all interested. I will be tearing into this Blazer tomorrow, so if you have a last minute part request, let me know. I will shoot a pic of it and add it on here. For those who've already requested parts... tune in tomorrow night or Sunday to HOPEFULLY see pics (if I can get connected to my dads wireless) -haha

Bashed (forum member who sold me mine) emailed me to let me know I actually need these for mine. So I don't believe I can sell them. But I will let you know.

I will get a picture of them tomorrow or Sunday and we can talk price, but I will give you the rolling chassis with the 50,000 mile 307 sbc for $300 or without the engine for $150. I will get video of the truck running before I start to tear it apart tomorrow. If you buy that you'll have a ton of extra parts, axles, and all...

I added a bunch of pics as we've been tearing down today to this album.

http://s213.photobucket.com/albums/c...arts%20Blazer/

I will try to sit down later and write descriptions and add individually requested photos. If you see what you were looking for, PM me for PAYPAL info. There is 78 photos in this album, uploading as I type.

How about $40 shipped? I'll pm you a PAYPAL address. The speaker actually looks like it is in good shape. Much better than I had anticipated.

The bottom of the doors need a little work, but overall, they are in decent shape. Probably not for $200 though. Maybe $100 for both of them.

I have some pics of this. You may even want a portion of the floor pans, because this thing is pretty solid throughout the pans, with only minor rust on each side where the rockers were...
Send me a pic of where you want it cut.

Re: Parting a complete 1971 Blazer 4x4

Jeff,
I will take the bumpers as planned. Question on the rear bumper, on the left top of the bumper looks warped just under your Dewalt. Is it damaged? Is the bumper straight? As for the doors, those are worse off than mine, so will pass on them. How did the core support turn out? Lastly, if the Trans Case shifter boot and ring are still up for grabs, I will take them as well. Thank you, Monte

Looked at the photo album and was wondering what condition the gas tank is in. Thanks

She's only a bare frame now. Poor thing. I feel like a doctor doing an autopsy when I am doing it.

I have taken pics of both of these removed. Tried to get some close up ones. You can see them at the photobucket link

I tried to get better pics of these after they were removed. I took quite a few. I cant see any warping overall, but there is a small bend where you mentioned. It looks like it could be straightened out if you put it on a hard surface and hit it from the backside. They are at the above photobucket link.

Looked at the pics, will be fine I think I can straighten that. How about the gas tank? Will take that also if it's good. Thanks, Monte

The studs appear to be in good shape. The nuts came off with ease. And I don't see any gouges or major marks that would prevent me from putting the knob on my vehicle. They need cleaned up and painted, but overall not bad at all.

Gas tank looks pretty good. I can smell old gas, not sure how old it is. We will drain it out before I haul it down though.

and as far as price... how about $30?

I started tearing into this today, I was able to salvage it as I took off the firewall. If I get no hits on the complete chassis, do you still want it?

Which one did you want? There was 2 that were "sorta" L shaped. So, let me know.

I found a little rust today, behind the weather stripping at the top corner. But it is a lot better than many I've seen on here. And I'll even throw in the dash. But the firewall is in really good shape. I posted a LOT of pics of the firewall/windshield and the section of floorpan I cut off with it on the photobucket page. Too many pics to post on here. Thanks.

Jeff,
Sounds good to me, If it does not have any holes then I'll take it. So that is $130 for bumpers and tank. How is next Saturday to pick this stuff up? PM me to set things up. Monte

Yep, $130. I'll PM you PAYPAL info. I am going to have to make a trip back up here in the next two weeks to pick them up, because my wife had a death in the family up here and we had to bring the mini-van with all 3 kids. But I'll have them at the house within the next few weeks.
