Re: New LS Standalone Harness

I wonder if they offer the "snake skin" wire covering for an extra cost?

Re: New LS Standalone Harness

I'm trying to place an order for one of these, just curious how everyone that ordered one actually ordered it? I'm trying to go through paypal. If anyone has, did the company send you an invoice then you paid it or did you just send them the money via paypal?

Re: New LS Standalone Harness

I too have been looking into PSI harnesses. I was concerned to learn that they might be made in China...I fired the question off to the PSI sales department to ask if their harnesses were built in USA or made oversees. I will let you know what/if I hear back.

Thanks
Marc

Boy that was quick. I received the following response from PSI. It sounds like the Chinese company stole their instructions...

"Good morning Marc,

All PSI wiring harnesses are 100% made in the USA. All products feature GM Delphi Connectors and high temp TXL/GXL (cross-linked polyethylene) automotive grade wire. All connections are crimped per GM Specifications. Once built all harnesses are subjected to a pin-to-pin quality check and ship with full instruction manual. In addition to high quality products, we also offer over the phone technical support both before and after the point of sale. So if you have a question, someone is there to answer you in a timely manner, over the phone. I know there has been some imported knockoffs out there but these are in no way related to PSI or the products we sell.

If you don’t mind, can you tell me if the forum you are referring to is on Facebook or another site? Thanks in advance.

Also, here is an article Hot Rod magazine just wrote about us.

https://www.hotrod.com/articles/deep...-company-help/

PSI

PSI is coming out with a "builders harness" soon that you can custom build yourself to your needs. Since my application will be somewhat custom, I may go this route (depending on the price).

Just food for thought when deciding on your harness.

No problem. I was in the same boat. Jon from PSI knows people steal their instructions thats why they took them off their site (as some people speculated). What was more surprising to learn is that the people selling the knock off PSI harnesses even provide PSI's tech line for trouble shooting....now that's bold.

Re: New LS Standalone Harness

My only complaint with psi was the ecm tail length...they wouldnt even make me a custom length when I asked...which I fully understand.....
they've been talking about the DIY kit Marc mentioned for yrs...but I havnt seen it for sale yet..
They are always quick to respond with any questions I've had....

I'm not familiar with how long they promised a DYI harness. When I talked to them last week they stated that they have some harnesses on test vehicles to provide the kits and they said within the month they look to have pricing and timing..We shall see though.

Re: New LS Standalone Harness

Just an update. I took a chance and ordered one. As I stated before, it came with the wrong injector pigtails, but they quickly sent over the correct pigtails.

Started playing with it and had a few issues that lead to a bad ground connection. Redid those, and it's been great ever since.

Delphi connectors are all over it.

Been driving it on the weekends with zero issues.

Marc I know it's been over 2yrs on the diy... I finally gave in and ordered the reg harness for the IH....then someone mentioned the bp harness has a longer tail than psi....had I known that ahead of time I would have tried bp....I still need a harness for my AD/LS3 truck...but I've got time to wait on it

the holley kit is neat, but has nothing to do with this thread. even with the holley kit you'll still need a wiring harness.

No the Holley Terminator x does come with a harness made in USA. As well as an ECM, wideband, handheld datalogger, tuning software... The list goes on, it's the most unbeatable deal on the market. The possibilities are endless.

It starts as low as 999, if you don't do the Terminator x, you have to buy a harness you have to buy an ECM, you have to get the ECM unlocked you have to pay for some kind of tuning, the list goes on, all of that adds up to just over a grand or so. Your still miles ahead going the Holley route. If your going to argue with something that's literally the greatest deal in LS swap history then that's on you.
